FAFSA, College Application Month, and More

October is a busy month. The FAFSA has officially opened. Students can either complete their FAFSA at home or at school. This is required to receive any federal financial aid, including pell grants, work study, and loans. Students will need both their parents and their tax information to include 1040, W2s, checking/savings balance information, and their SSN as well as their parents' SSN.

In addition to their FAFSA, students will be working on applying to colleges. Although I recognize students may not know where they want to attend, they should be applying to all potential colleges/universities. October 13th is FREE APPLICATION DAY for Colorado. Students will be able to apply to many Colorado colleges and universities for free. They will not pay an application fee.

Student will also be attending a virtual college fair this year. Due to COVID, students will not be traveling to LCC as in years past. All college fairs will be online.
